M.C. Beaton's 6 best novels

M. C. Beaton's latest novel is Agatha Raisin: Dishing The Dirt. One of the author's six best books, as told to the Daily Express:
KIDNAPPED by Robert Louis Stevenson

This really inspired me. I read it when I was young but still think it’s great. Forget the Booker Prize, storytelling is what I love and this is storytelling at its best.
Read about another book on the list.

Kidnapped also appears among Robert Wilton's ten top civil war novels, Janis MacKay's top ten books set on the ocean, Joshua Glenn's top 32 adventure novels of the 19th century, Charlie Fletcher's top ten swashbuckling tales of derring-do, and on John Mullan's lists of ten of the best wicked uncles in literature, ten of the best misers in literature, ten of the best shipwrecks, and ten of the best towers in literature.
